Lately I've been thinking about how people live and the things they do when they're alone. What becomes habit and what is routine? How many times does one check their phone before turning the page of the novel they are reading and what are the most assumed positions for being productive in bed?

As the puzzle pieces come together to create an intimate portrait of our lives, it's increasingly more precious to have stumbled upon Theo Gosselin's photography. Not only does he have impeccable taste in music but I think that in our own private moments we have shared the same thoughts- only he took out a camera to document his perceptions of privacy, dwelling and anthropology.

 Please Excuse my absence! I found myself frequenting a beautiful house in the Annex over the past two weeks while I was working on a side project. When you're hard at work the days seem to go by at an alarming speed.

This home was designed and built by husband and wife team Amy Muir and Bruno Mendes who make up a young architecture firm. Every now and then I feel inspired to live minimally.

It's far too hard to choose a favourite Whitney Houston song when so many are dear to my heart. As a young boy I remember singing along to 'How Will I know' with my mother, two stepping to 'Dance with Somebody' and discovering the complexities of the heart to 'I will always love you'. Before those hits, Whitney Houston covered  'Home'- one of my all time favourite songs from the Broadway hit Musical  'the Wiz'. There's a quiet beauty about it that makes me smile uncontrollably. I hope that feeling is contagious.

Needless to say, the music industry has suffered a great loss but let us all be thankful for the legacy left behind.
