Goodbye Summer, you were good to me
Year three of design school has begun and I'm already anticipating an eventful year. I'll try to keep you posted every step of the way as I stumble upon brilliant architecture, melt into imaginative interiors and glorify my fickle muses.I drew this portrait one night a few weeks ago by computer light. I think it describes my state of being as I enter a new school year. (A bit worried, perhaps with a pinch of angst and emphasis on the art of being aware.) My eyes are wide open and I'm observing. Through observation and a soaring imagination, I create. This is my craft. This is my bag.

The August Air

When Curry's sells you pencils, DRAW.
It's as simple as that.
As we rush into the August air, black clouds lurk above proposing a sloppy September as I accept the coming of a new school year.
I'm really trying to recall the last four months. Where did they go? All I can remember is all the things I forgot to do.
To be honest, it's never too late to set the wheel in motion. This August, their will be more drawing, more organization and perhaps the start of a little thing I'd like to call a portfolio.
Stay tuned

Lepage Photography
So inspiring and so innovative! From the brash boldness of the spotlights to the black ink overlaying, I can't help but fall in love with these hanunting images from Jean Francis Lepage.

Rom Shmom
I finally gave up some well earned free time to visit the ROM to see the Vanity Fair Portraits.
Heaven comes to Earth from time to time and if you're lucky, you can catch a glimpse of pure extasy. I think it's safe to say that if you haven't dedicated some time to these portraits you must do so before the sand runs through the hour glass.
I want to pick up a camera-- A good camera. I want to capture beauty, fault, self worth, unicorns, gum on the side walk and much more. Perhaps it has all been done before, but not through my eyes. My eyes, your eyes, our eyes-- they see the world through a different lense. I hope that one day you can see what I see and question to put things into focus.
Beyond the portrait is a person and I've taken interest in the presence lurking in these astounding photos:

Swine and Obama
My mother told me the funniest thing yesterday:
"It was said that America would get their first black president when "pigs fly". A little while into his reign as president, "Swine Flu" " - HAHA
Speaking of Swine, I'm sick/ developing allergies! Not fun at all I tell you, not fun. Sickness= "Bad face days"!!! It's basically like having a bad hair day but obviosuly a lot worst cause I don't have a plastic Surgeon at my disposal. Anyway, the plus side of these BFD's is my choice of some pretty stellar apparel to compensate. I’m going through such a grey phase. I like to think the colour isn’t seasonal, but can actually break past its winter association. I could be wrong…but whatever. Deal with it. I wore this for my night out with the Dreams. Such a good production btw.
