The Glade

Inspired by an image found on an old 1900s communion card, artists Carolyn Quatermaine & Didier Mahieu have renewed my faith in fairytales with this charming design. This bar is located in London's West End and doubles as a restaurant and a gallery.

"We need to create interior spaces that let us dream a little more...It's all about the Reverie" -Carolyn Quatermaine

I came across these wonderful playing cards this evening while procrastinating. I think they're fantastic! I've always wanted to design a set and I finally feel inspired to do so.
Hello 2011, I have big plans for you ♥
PS. Happy Sunday!

Never Plural. Just One

It's Sunday. Give yourself a pat on the shoulder for making it through the week. I think it's always a reason to celebrate. Take time to smile every single Sunday. Smile before you close your eyes to enter a world of dreams. Sometimes the days get rough and it's important to always be thankful and whisper to yourself "I MADE IT." Say it out loud and send that energy into the air. I think we could all use that comfort from time to time. Let the words drift out of your window and into the air. Let it a hug a family of raccoons or the man walking home after the night shift. Let it fill the hearts of those who are waking up alone and let it sit on the rim of your morning coffee. Swallow it with pride and the greatest gratitude. I think with this mentality we're all connected and perhaps in that way there will always be comfort in being physically alone.

Never plural. Just one... and it's perfectly OK.
