I designed my last space of the semester and presented it on Monday.
I think I'm finally getting into a groove where I am able to produce work that makes me smile.
This project dealt with the health and well being of users within hospitality and healthcare environments. I worked with the qualities of the word whimsical to create a quaint space inspired by hipster subculture, Rococo Kids, and the idea of Re-packaging second hand or vintage luxury items. Bold decals and storage crates come together to invite the user to explore both the 2nd and 3rd dimension -allowing the user to take a moment, smile and decompress. It's only upon personal reflection and a little bit of gratification that I remind myself that magic truly does eexist.
