In no particular order, here are my top five. Judge all you like, I am not ashamed.
*A Rush of Blood to the Head Coldplay- Coldplay just knows their shit. It's simple. I remember being introduced to them for the first time when I was 15. Four years later and we're still going strong. I've heard them laugh, I've heard them sing, I wouldn't change a single thing.

*Afrodisiac Brandy- From that beat in the club to soft ballads, I've fallen in love. This represents my moments of angst, my days of soul searching, and bashing those who said they loved. Ha! Sometimes it's ok to be bitter.

*Through Toledo Greg Laswell- Great Lyrics inspire me to write. Great lyrics usually make me cry. Great lyrics make my heart swell. Great Lyrics never get old. Throw in some killer melodies and there's no need to question why fate allowed me to come across Mr. Laswell while randomly surfing myspace music a few years ago. This Ablum took me on such a journey. In fact, it still does. I always notice something new along the way.

* Side Show the musical Various artists- I'm forever changed by the music in this show. Yes, it's a musical. Take a moment to laugh then look it up.
I think after being in this show and appreciating the music, I discovered all of my imperfections. I'm still learning to embrace them... but the first step is recognition. On my quest for my niche in the world, I'll have Alice and Emily belt "I will Never leave you" reminding me that perhaps, I'm not alone. Comforting. eh?

*Emily haines Knives Don't have your back- I remember baking donuts at 5:00 Am listening to this album blaring from my ipod speakers, praying my shift would end soon. Ms. Haines opened the door to many of the artists I listen to and love today. I think this album marks me musical evolution. Thank god for new crimes (sexual suicide).

Ok so that like 5 right? I challenge: aaronwolfe & katielliot. k go!
Oh shit- I didn't know I was challenged. I'll get on that!!!!
